Protect and Heal Your Dog's Paws with Healer Pet Care

How many times have you seen a new product, and immediately said "why didn't I think of that"? Get ready to add one more to the list.

Necessity is the mother of invention, and very little is more necessary for animal lovers than to make sure our beloved dogs are safe and healthy. A few years back, Terri Entler took her dog Jake on a hike, just like any other day. But when they returned, she discovered his paw pads were rubbed raw.

Her veterinarian-prescribed treatment was to bandage and un-bandage the paws for cleaning twice a day for at least six weeks. After seeing how much of a mess it was to do this, and not being able to find any other alternatives, the former engineer did what engineers do: Terri designed her own solution.

That's when she stitched together a prototype of what would become the Healers Paw Booties. Her vet was impressed at how quickly Jake's injuries healed using the booties.

And so Healers Pet Care was born.

Since most dogs spend the majority of their lives indoors, they can be more susceptible to paw injuries when they do get out onto rugged natural surfaces. Healers Paw Booties are a way to treat paw injuries in a convenient and swift manner. But ideally, you'd prefer to avoid injury altogether.

That's where Urban Walkers come in. On the market since January, 2012, Urban Walkers are more like tennis shoes for your dog, made for everyday walking.

So far the reception for the Urban Walkers has been wonderful.

"Customers, one was a veterinarian, have told me it is the best boot they have seen," Entler tells Pets Uncaged.

There's a good reason for the positive response, particularly from veterinarians. The material used for Urban Walkers is medical grade that breathes, wicks away moisture, and has antibacterial properties that keep the wounds safe from infection. The booties are washable and reusable as well.

Another concern dog owners may have is that their pets will not take to the booties. It's not like they're accustomed to wearing shoes. But Entler says it usually only takes a few minutes for the dog to get comfortable with the Urban Walkers.

Whether you're looking to treat existing paw injuries with the Healer Paw Booties or want to prevent discomfort or injuries when you're walking your dog with the Urban Walkers, you can rest assured you are getting a product that has been engineer designed, plus Entler commissioned the talents of an ex-Nike shoe designer to help come up with the perfect solution.
